X.com - Remove Timeline Images and Media
By prior-python-68 · 7 months ago
This tweek removes profile images and post media from the X timeline, including quoted or mentioned post media boxes. Timeline posts use the freed avatar space for more text width.
Key Highlights
- Hides profile images in timeline posts
- Removes photos, videos, GIFs, and link card media
- Collapses media boxes in quoted or mentioned posts
- Reclaims avatar space so post content can use more width
- Works on X.com and Twitter timeline pages
Details
This tweek makes the X.com and Twitter timeline more text-focused by hiding user profile images, tweet photos, videos, GIFs, and media from link cards. It also removes media containers that can appear inside quoted or mentioned posts, so empty media boxes do not remain behind.
When avatars are hidden, the layout is adjusted so posts can use the space that was previously reserved on the left. The result is a cleaner timeline with more room for post text and fewer visual distractions from media-heavy content.
