  • Sorts searches by relevance or recent date
  • Keeps Hacker News-style metadata and working comment links
  • Provides reset behavior to restore the original listing

Details

This tweek adds a search and filter panel directly to Hacker News pages on news.ycombinator.com. Enter a query, choose all results or a specific type such as stories, comments, or polls, then view Algolia-backed results in place of the current page listing.

Results keep a Hacker News-like layout with titles, source domains, points, authors, relative timestamps, hide links, and comment links. Sorting can use relevance or recent date, pagination continues through a More link, and the tweek avoids running on item/comment pages.
